The true alliance

An Alliance Against Babylon: The US, Israel and Iraq by John K. Cooley is the most insightful book I’ve read in ages. He argues that the recent invasion of Iraq marks a turning point in the most crucial relationship in the Middle East, between Israel and America. More ominously, he explains the assistance Israel provided to the “Coalition of the (Un)Willing” and the Jewish state’s massive intelligence failures. The anti-Syrian and anti-Iranian noises emanating from the White House are nothing more than Israeli ambitions dressed up in a Texan drawl.

Cooley, a long-time correspondent with the Christian Science Monitor and US ABC News, details how Israel taught America to manage the occupation and guerrilla war in Iraq.

Why is our media so reluctant to examine this relationship?
