In cold blood

The Guardian, April 6:

British TV journalist James Miller was murdered when he was shot by an Israeli soldier in Gaza, a jury ruled unanimously today at the inquest into his death.

  • The quesrion remain, what became of the soldier who shot James Miller? Was he acting under orders or of his own volition?

    In many ways it doesn’t matter. There is a culture of impunity in the IDF. Few people are ever prosecuted, and even fewer punished for murdering innocents.

  • No doubt abtou that Ant. The article did state that Israel were very co-operative with the investigation. One wonders if they are prepared to actually punish the crime or merely patthemselves on the back for being co-operative and turn a blind eye to it.

  • Actually, the article says that the Israeli’s were “not very forthcoming” during the investigation.
