Hey Comical,

You should visit this blog to get some new material. Your manufactured outrage at the photos of Arabs holding up human remains is failing miserably:
  http://www.cjrdaily.org/behind_the_news/about_tho...

According to this chap, no one can be trusted to interpret facts for themselves. The Zionist lens must always be used. Sounds like your kind of logic.

The folks at Columbia Journalism Review want to remind us "that television news and photojournalism manipulate our thoughts and emotions." Oh? We didn't notice.

And if you want to get really creative, here's a novel approach:

Photo of the day: Israeli kids sends gifts of love to Arab kids http://sabbah.biz/mt/archives/2006/07/17/photo-of...

Here that our Lebanese breatheren? Thes bombs are exploding with love!!!

You know, they can say what they like, but this interview, and his previous interviews demonstrate without a shadow of doubt that Hasan Nazrallah is a class act. His command of the situation, and his calm approach is admirable.

I’m just asking you to take into account their policy of using human shields and generating “martyrs,” every time you hear of Arab civilians being killed in IAF air strikes, etc.

Except that in this case, the evidence points somewher
I’m just asking you to take into account their policy of using human shields and generating “martyrs,” every time you hear of Arab civilians being killed in IAF air strikes, etc.

Except that in this case, the evidence points somewhere else. If these were human shields, then there would be at least one dead Hezbollah combatant for every strike would there not? But hat is not the case – not by a long shot.

Israel's strike rate stands at 10% as far as hitting legitimate targets, which proves that this has noting to do with human shields but collective punishment.

let’s just say it was the jurno’s fault only (though no major news service published or would publish this and all jurnos would know that) - it was still an awfully strange way to be handling dead bodies (even if there were no photographers in the area), don’t you think?

Thanks for admitting that the media would have censored these images because they would make Israel look like the ravenous state that it is.

There is nothing strange about holding up evidence of what Israel has done. No stranger that showing the mass graves of Jews exterminated by Germany. It is evidence of what is happening.

If an Arab news service were to report that Israeli bombs killed x numbers of women and children, you would be the first to dismiss this as Arab propaganda. Instead, we are presented with pictures, which are pretty hard to refute, though not through lack of trying on your part.

You are absorb in the extreme Comical. You are completely fine with the killing, but outraged that pictures are being shown.

Pure Gold Comical. Keep it up.

Comical

I’ll ask again - is it common practice for people with jobs to collect dead bodies and body parts, to hold up the dead bodies (and point to their wounds) for journalists?

Is it common practice to destroy whole city blocks and bomb the be Jesus out of civilians? Hey, maybe there was a journalist there who said, “could you hold up whatever it is you’re holding so that the world can see what Israel means when it says it’s defending itself?”

The irony of it all, is at the end of the day somebody like myself is more concerned with the lives of Arab civilians than an Addamo or a Loewenstein who purport to campaign for their human rights.

You are priceless Comical. You harpoon about how the human remains of Lebanese Arabs are being treated and that is supposed to be evidence that you are“more concerned with the lives of Arab civilians than an Addamo or a Loewenstein”

You are so full of shit Comical. Not once have you condemned the killing of Arabs. Every time Israel has done so, you have rushed to her defense.
For you, the rights of these people are just a means to an end - they are just human cannon fodder, human shields or to use the more common expression “martyrs.”

Is that what your crystal ball says Comical, or is that what they taught you at Zionist finishing school?

If I’m wrong, then why don’t people like Loewenstein come out to denounce the PLO, Hamas and Hezbollah policy of encouraging “martyrdom” among children for example as much as they denounce Israel’s killing of civilians?

No one is evading this Comical, although there can be no dispute that you have evaded that Israel is killing ten times as many people as her enemies are killing, and you are sticking to the premise that this is an equal equation.

Again, by your premise, one should have condemned the Jews in the concentration camp in Nazi Germany who rebelled and over ran their captors, for surely this put other Jews at greater risk of retribution right?

Disgusting.

Oh yes, so disgusting, but for heaven’s sake, let the bombing continue right?

When talking of civilian deaths and injuries as a result of Israeli bombing, do you ever take into account the Hezbollah policy and use of civilians for human shields?

Actually the bit about humans shields is beginning to look like a complete Israeli propaganda BS campaign. On Thursday, 50 Lebanese were killed and only one Hezbollha combatant.

This is comprehensive proof that Israel don’t know here Hezbollah are and are pretty much just bombing anywhere they think Hezbollah might be. This has NOTHING do with human shields, but Israel’s policy that it’s better to bomb and kill innocent civilians, than to bomb and be unsure if that was a legitimate target or not.

Or the idea that dead civilians makes good PR for them?

Don’t you mean BAD PR for Israel?

And is it a simple coincidence that the end result is parading dead bodies in front of cameras?

Coincidence? Ever considered that those dead bodies were created by Israel in the first place? Shame on the media for reporting it right? I mean, it’s not like the world needs to know about what’s going on or see the reality of Israel defending itself.

Israel meets its obligations under international law by warning civilians (via flyers & broadcasts) to get out.

And then it fails miserably in it’s obligation completely by bombing those people as they are fleeing in their vehicles. It’s failing miserably, when those people have no where to go and no way to leave, thanks to bombed roadways.

This is akin to freeing a prisoner and then shooting them in the back as they run away. The Nazi's could not have done it better.

Hezbollah on other hand, uses civilians for human shields. So why be surprised at the amount of destruction that the Israeli bombing has caused to civilian life?

That’s great spin Comical. Israel’s success rate at killing Hezbollha is something like 8% success rate, but let’s call the innocents human shields, because it just rolls of the tongue so much better. And no Comical, no one is s” surprised at the amount of destruction that the Israeli bombing has caused to civilian life”, just extremely disgusted.

Israel is doing the Arab world a huge favor by shredding any credibility it ever had or any claim to victim hood or vulnerability/

Israel is doing the Arab world a huge favor by shredding any credibility it ever had or any claim to victim hood or vulnerability/

from Comical;
"I think the type of damage that Israel is inflicting, is evident - without having to resort to hold up and parade dead bodies and body parts. That particular tactic speaks for itself."

Wow, you not only want them killed but you want them to die in style.

I'm sure that eventually these people will learn to die away from the camera and spare our sensitivities - it may take some time but give them a chance.

This is like mugging a guy on the street, and complaining that he shouted too loud. Why can't he be robbed with decorum you ask?

I'm not defending hezbollah or any of their human shield policies (if they indeed do) but you cant seriously attack the people holding the bodies up for the whole thing, the journo who took the photo no doubt would have been the one to ask him to hold it for his report.
