It seems that some supporters of Israel aren’t too comfortable with alternative viewpoints:
At Melbourne University today (Monday 24 July) Zionist students physically attacked left wing students from the Socialist Alternative Club who were petitioning against the war on Lebanon and handing out leaflets advertising the anti-war demo this coming Sunday.
The Zionists repeatedly kept coming back to kick over the stall that the anti-war students had set up. Other students were outraged by these anti-democratic attacks and rallied around to help the anti-war campaigners who generally got a very good response.
Opponents of the war should not be intimidated by these attacks.
Considering the fact that the current war “is not just and morality is not on our side“, such behaviour reeks of desperation.
These are not views but facts (which the world is witnessing today). Captain admit it, the world biggest disaster ever is Israel.
So captain by your logic the palestinians should only vote for diplomatic governments that are approved by Israel and that harbour peace (now i agree with peace in the region).
by that same logic could you not say that many of the historic Israeli governments should have rightfully been toppled by Palestinians for not harbouring peace in the region?
for a group such as Hamas who do harbour some extreme views, is not the best way for Hamas to reform itself to govern? it forces responsibility on an organisation which previously had none, Hamas is split (as seen by the capture of Gilad Shilat) the Hamas government are no longer these extreme terrorists you claim them to be. mind you this is extremely suprising seeing as Israel has essentially tried to starve its people out of areas like the gaza strip to harbour their own expansion.
