His attacks on conservative targets simply reflect his belief that most of those who call themselves conservative these days have betrayed core conservative principles such as individual freedom and limited government. He holds that Oakeshottian principles of scepticism and caution in politics have been overthrown by a cadre of radicals intent on trashing the constitution, demolishing legal restrictions on executive power, and discarding the principles of general decency. Also, my post was in reference to Antony's second link. I did not read the first link. Read the second link and see if you can find any reason why Antony would choose to exemplify conservative support for torture with this blog post. Anyone who has paid any attention at all to Andrew Sullivan's blogging and essays will know that he has been one of the foremost critics of the Bush administration's conduct in this area. You have either simply googled 'conservative' and 'torture', and linked to the first page that came up, or read the blog entry and completely misunderstood it--although it's meaning is hardly difficult to grasp. Either way, it hardly reflects well on you as a journalist.
