The New Yorker is being disingenuous. Cohen doesn&#039;t have &quot;onscreen victims.&quot; There is only one butt of his jokes--those who speak bad English, come from somewhere to the East of here, and have a religion which is neither Judaism nor Christianity. Here in America we call those folks &quot;terrists&quot;. If he thought he could get away with it, he&#039;d be wearing a headscarf.

I&#039;m no expert on his career, but I&#039;d be very surprised if anyone can actually point to an example of him &quot;making fun of Jews.&quot;

I too thought of the (mainly Jewish) &quot;Islamofascism experts&quot; that clutter our media. But Cohen isn&#039;t parodying their message, he&#039;s just pitching the same thing to an even less thoughtful demographic.</description>
