I was astonished at the brazen way in which this clear example of collective punishment was being carried out. I had a similar reaction today when I read about the Israeli military's continued refusal to provide information about the ordinance it deployed in Lebanon. Deminers are risking lives to clear the area - all they want is data about where the bombs are. Such belligerence. And such impunity.
