Futile silencing

The Jewish state creates a perfect PR disaster:

The US political author and critic of Israel Norman Finkelstein was denied entry to the Jewish state on Friday, his lawyer said.

Finkelstein landed at Ben Gurion international airport near Tel Aviv in the early morning and was told by a representative of the ministry of interior that he would not be allowed into the country on ’security’ grounds, attorney Michael Sfard told dpa.

‘This usually means a 10-year ban on entry,’ Sfard added.

How can this achieve anything other than positive spin for Finkelstein and negative press for Israel?

  • Absolutely, more good books and book fodder for Finkelstein.

Ant, I want to recommend to you a book I am immersed in with growing horror.

After the Reich by Giles Mac Donogh. Never mind heroes to the rescue.

  • How can the fact that a person was expelled from Israel for anti-Israeli views be a good PR for anyone? He should try to enter Saudi Arabia with the Israeli visa in his passport and be rejected – that might be a good idea to draw international attention. Or buy himself a house in Southern Beirut and survive for a day, even.

The rhetorical question is, would refusal of visa for Goebbels in England during the WW2 generate good PR for him and assist the sales of Mine Kampf?
