  • Yosse Beilin, this left wing “peace dreamer” seeks to link the policy of Bush’s incompetence with forging a war on Iraq with far to few soldiers and planning to the Jewish State. Granted, Israel has an alliance, with Washington. And granted, that the destruction of Iraq made Iran more imposing.
But that’s about as far as it goes. The current Bush in no way compares unto his father, who cleverly employed the military to trim the “shrubs” as a means of conducting international diplomacy. The current Bush maxed out his military options and their by greatly weakened his diplomatic hand. A better more capable statesman knows that the military card functions at best only as salt or pepper; the role of the military vs. diplomacy, that diplomacy it should function as the steak and potatoes of Foreign policy decisions.

The Olmert government, a government that I personally despise, still for all its faults, the policy makers in this government limited the military card in the last Labanese war. Domestically with the Gush Katif the policy makers of this “so called” Government, strengthened the police powers. And the Police then investigated the PM for corruption!
Olmert’s domestic police state has dramatically weakened Israeli trust in public institutions.

Yossi, who foolishly places greater importance on foreign policy than domestic policy contends that Bush hurt Israeli interests. Yossi, this incompetent fool knows nothing, and can bearly get elected unto the Knesset.
