Speaking for the silent

The Baha’i faith is mercilessly persecuted in Iran. Since the 1979 Revolution, the mullahs have attempted to destroy the religion, without success (I recently met a Baha’i woman here in Sydney who had just returned from a pilgrimage from Haifa, Israel, the true home of their religion.)

The following is taken from the acclaimed film, Persepolis:

  • Hi Antony, thanks for linking to our video, however I would like to clarify that this is not the actual film “Persepolis.” Only the images were from the film, but this is a privately edited version. The voices, music, script were all recreated by MideastYouth.com’s production team.

The actual film has nothing to do with Baha’is, but we wanted a creative way to increase awareness about their human rights. So we felt the need to recreate Persepolis by using its images but making it about one of this century’s worst crimes against a religious minority.

For more information about this clip and other crimes you can visit our campaign at BahaiRights.org

    Thanks for the link!
