More voices, not less

A great Melbourne-based blog by a young writer, Literary Minded, has now become an important read about literary happenings in Australia and beyond. I met the writer in Melbourne over the weekend and she’s a highly engaged woman with a love of unconventional thoughts on books and new media (and it was obvious who she was before we even met, with a t-shirt that read, “literaryminded.blogspot.com.”)

She has written about The Blogging Revolution at the Melbourne Writer’s Festival and the important debates over “new media” and the need for “old media” to survive, and even thrive.

I agree, Antony - I finally caught up with Angela after your session too, she recommmended your book and is a ball of literary blogging energie. Have you read all her festival coverage? dizzying, and done for free and with love.
I enjoyed that session, yourself, Margaret and Mr Q gave Lenarcic little room to be rude to bloggers - for this, much thanks.
Gives old farts like me a good excuse to lay off and go back to reading…
