During this Jewish New Year period, it’s worth remembering that a handful of religious Jewish fanatics subscribe to views that can be best described as fundamentalist, and presume that people who don’t believe in God will suffer an untimely death:

“a handful of religious Jewish fanatics subscribe to views”
The Rosh HaShannah prayers have their sources from the Talmud. Torah faith/spirituality simply does not compare with the fanatical belief systems of avodah zarah. Torah spirituality centers and orbits around the 13 Divine Attributes revealed unto Moses at Sinai. The revelation of that revelation enlightens as much now as it did then. When the Torah revelation occured all the natioins of the world rejected that revelation, among the nations only Israel accepted the Torah. Today as well the nations, which includes its assimilated Jews, rejects the Torah revelation of Sinai.
