I&#039;m Italian and follow you since a few months. As I&#039;m studying the &#039;political power&#039; of blogging, I&#039;m really interested in your work and generally agree with your positions. 
 
However, this time I must disagree: we, as Italians, do not need to thank Berlusconi for anything related to freedom of expression. Early this year his company - I don&#039;t recall which branch/one (maybe Mediaset or Fininvest) - SUED youtube because it allowed Italian users to post material from his TV shows/programs. He&#039;s famous in Italy for the so-called &quot;Bulgarian Edict&quot; by virtue of which three journalists were banned from television. 
 
I hope your comment was ironic, as Berlusconi is far from being an advocate of freedom of expression - on and offline.
