I hate that Australia now joins the queue behind the US congress to felate Israel.(Netanyahu must be the most felated man in history) I would love to see an animated cartoon showing the consequences of the congressman rebuked by Bibi for not swallowing) We are unable to stop them going. Perhaps we should lobby these 16 Australians (not 17, I would not bother with Andrew Bolt) and suggest to them that this is an opportunity to let Israel know that we are keen to partner them in business as soon as they stop their Apartheid ways and comply with all UN resolutions to date.

I'm dismayed, no I'm not, I'm appalled at this news.

I hope these politicians aren't going as official representatives of the Australian government as, by their acceptance of this largesse, they signal Australia's support for Israel's intransigence. They have no mandate to hobnob with these apartheid loving crooks!

They must feel politically secure with their bi-partisan team. Talk about a culture of impunity...

I have an idea, perhaps they could stop off in Sri Lanka on the way home and suck up to President Mahinda Rajapaksa as well.

Perhaps, in the course of the "cultural exchange", they can pick up a few tips about the culture of supremacism and ethnic cleansing that is rife in both countries and apply it here.
Which part of our culture will we be "exchanging" in the planned swap? The "fair go"?

Maybe, as part of the exchange, Barnett could distribute a few Christian tracts that mention the New Commandment, (love one another) to his hosts. :-)

The Rudd Government's continuing stance on the Israeli means to me that my national government is actively supporting a morally & intellectually bankrupt terrorist nation.

The refusal of Rudd & co to accept Hamas election in Gaza was clearly wrong on both moral & international law grounds. Further, Rudd's refusal to recognise Hamas's inalienable right to wage war against the Israeli invaders of the occupied territories, cannot be justified.

Hamas have made their views very clear. i.e. end the illegal blockade of Gaza, and either withdraw from the occupied territories forthwith OR begin negotiations with Hamas to that end, or face continued armed resistance. I SUPPORT HAMAS'S RIGHT TO WAGE WAR AGAINST THE INVADERS OF ITS TERRITORIES.

The SMH also confirm the passing of the far right Zionist baton in Oz from Mark Liebler to Arthur Dadon, whose credentails for the job are confirmed by his recent justification of the killing of women & children in Gaza.

I am one angry Australian voter, who will not vote for the Rudd Government again on principle.

Boycott Israel.

I look forward to the pollies written reports on their independent tour and inspection of the Gaza strip and investigations to see how the civilian Gazan's can be helped with humanitarian food aid and medical care from Australia.

Repeat after me - there is no such thing as the Israel lobby.
We vote for these fuckers to represent us, but for a few shekels - perhaps a tree grown on stolen land named after them - they bow down before a criminal state.
The lobby not merely buys a Prime Minister (they clearly had him sown up before his elevation and, with the yanks, gave him the nod (shades of Bob Hawke)), but they've bought off both sides of Parliament as well.
Only last night, our Foreign Minister SMith was on the box joining the anti North Korea bandwagon, noting that it had ignored a series of UN resolutions.
And Israel?
I am apoplectic with rage.
