But Israel & its US barrackers get far too much credit for their lobbying abilities. While in many minds it might be a given, I believe its worth revisiting the key fact that if the price of petrol at the bowser wasn't the core benchmark of political survival in the US,  Israel would get diddly squat from DC....and would never have left it's pre 67 borders. It's the US that's ultimately responsible for Israel's actions, definitely not the schmutters at AIPAC etc. Howqever, when you read mainstream media it appears the US Jewish lobby have miraculous powers over US politicans....admittedly they do have immense power, but only in the same way as say, the Chicago Mafia gangsters had over City Hall. The only difference between the AIPAC & the Chicago Mafia, is that the Chicago hoods weren't dealing in as important a substance as Middle East oil.
