The NT intervention is historically linked to the 'Children are sacred' report and the current phase of the occupation of the Palestinians has its roots in the Oslo accords. Both 'Children are sacred' and the Oslo accords took place in the early 1990's and as a result both states have implemented new processes of occupation and control. Holding on to the end. The Australian government and state would be sorely exposed if it were to be critical of  the state of Israel. Gillard and Rudd appear totally shameless in their support of Israel, they also appear stupid and naive so I guess that process of being exposed for their support of Israel is already kicking regardless...
