However, I do feel that Jon has sincerely tried to shed a different light to the issue by covering the attacks of 2009 and inviting Anna Baltzer and Mustafa Barghouti. I believe his heart is in the right place. It is much more than I can say for most of the people involved in this discussion. On the other hand, Jay, your discourse of Arabs acting like Arabs, i.e. "barbarians" who should "start behaving like human beings" is so preposterous. Are you somehow teleported from 19th century British India or something? 350-400 million people from Morocco to Qatar with different historical experiences, who do not even understand each other (unless they use the standardized language) are uncivilised monkeys who need to be "corrected" by the wonderful white man who is naturally rational and civilised just because he came out of a white uterus. How original! How sensible! I am getting tired of this whole "white man's burden" discourse. When the Western world has racists/criminals/terrorists/psycho-nut jobs, they are always the "exception" who are at the fringes of the society but when Arabs or Muslims (they are all the same s*** anyway, right?) have these kind of people, it reflects on millions even billions of people! I know it is hard to watch racist crap like that (or read it in blogs written by people who are angered by these things for that matter) but next time try not to act on your severe testosterone poisoning.
