While it's true that some PUMA groups became overtaken by rightwing nutjobs, the vast, vast majority of PUMA types remain hardcore, committed liberals who have in fact been proven right in our predictions that Obama would be a disastrous president, and a ruinous disaster for the American left. The birther phenomenon is STRICTLY a rightwing creation as is the "tea party" movement.

These groups may oppose Obama as vehemently as we PUMAs did and do, but for vastly different reasons. There is no common ground between us, absolutely none.
