What I do

I’m proud to join the club…

“Journalism is not a profession or a trade. It is a cheap catch-all for fuck-offs and misfits - a false doorway to the backside of life. A filthy, piss-ridden little hole nailed off by the building inspector, but just deep enough for a wino to curl up up from the sidewalk and masturbate like a chimp in a zoo cage.”

Ummmm…didn’t the Herald kick you out of the journalism club?

Steady on, tiger. Kicked out/left/am writing a book/wanted independence. Besides, I’m still a journo, just not affiliated with any news org.

I sent the club a wire stating, please accept my resignation. I don’t want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member. Grucho.

The more I think about it, I’d rather belong to my own club. Or a club that allows people with a rather eccentric view of the world.
Such a great Groucho quote. And let’s face it, Hunter S. was hardly conventional. Angry and witty to the end….

Yep, better to go out with a bang than a wimper. Sorry, it’s only cliches and plagerised quotes for me today.

Anonymous, you really are a dick head (that’s my professional assessment by the way). You don’t even have the balls to pay out Anthony with an online face!
