Death is freedom

Murdoch’s Australian editorialises on the third anniversary of the Iraq invasion. Some “highlights”:

Iraq is slowly turning the corner towards peace and democracy.

History will be the ultimate judge of the Iraq war, but given the embrace of democracy and the creation of a boisterous political culture, it is not hard to imagine that in 10 or 20 years, the only Australians shooting in Iraq will be tourists blazing away with their cameras.

The delusions are beyond words.

As you can see, things are goign splendidly in Iraq, which is why th eUS had to repeat Shock and Awe on the third anniversa yof the invasion.

And with news like this, thre is every reason to be hopeful.

The onyl good thing that comes of this crap comming from the Murdoch press is that they are hopefully consigning themselves to increasing irrelevance.

Imagine their little minds working overtime to actually suggest that democracy is forming in Iraq, when, tragically, the country is falling apart, if it hasn’t already.

G’day Ant! Love the new banner, very swoosh. The Australian, my oh my, I actually read it to laugh (or cry) at it’s opinions. When I was an ad-rep at ‘Spews (un) Limited’ we referred to The Oz as the elephant’s graveyard, it was where ad managers on the outer were sent. I nearly vomited at the Opinions section when all the little robots raphsodised over the Condi Rice visit. They remind me of those ‘nodding head’ dogs put on the back shelf of cars. Incidentally, Murdoch bought -myspace- last year, scary stuff…hmm, let’s put a blog at -myspace- and let Murdoch manage it! Suuuuuuuure.
