I was going off IDF stats which clearly haven't been updated. Still the central message remains. As for Palestinians killing themselves, well if you're talking about the inter-militia clashes there's an obvious link between the withholding of funding and those clashes. Also the US and Israelis (with implicit support from the Europeans) have been egging Fatah militants to clash with Hamas and generally challenge their authority now that Hamas is the elected government. In other words, even these clashes aren't entirely localised events. Of course such details and 'subtleties' are lost on people who live in a world of black and white, Nazis and Jews, good guys and bad guys. But people in Gaza or Hebron don't have that luxury. Every day I get emails and messages from people telling me in painful detail how the occupation is ruining their life.
