Former German foreign minister Joschka Fischer writes that, “the Middle East is drifting toward a new great confrontation in 2008. Iran must understand that without a diplomatic solution in the coming months, a dangerous military conflict is very likely to erupt. It is high time for serious negotiations to begin.”
Who says war against the Islamic Republic isn’t now on the cards?

There is ample evidence to mistrust Fischer for quite some time now. I watched him during the visa-affair for 12 hours close to non-stop on public TV. A story that set my mind spinning.
He may have been a fresh wind taking his oath at the Bundestag, and delivering the message of dissent there long long ago.
The “real” voice of that generation is still Dany: Daniel Cohn Bendit.
And it’s still visible too: http://www.cohn-bendit.de/
