No co-existence here

The following posters have appeared in the Israeli town of Akko after recent riots:

A Jew shall not buy from an Arab.”

The division of Israeli and Arab communities continues.

Another proof for the necessity for the 2 state solution.

A two-state solution won’t work. A federation whereby Palestinians and Israelis have access to the same land and same rights is the only solution.

However, that would lead to an Arab majority, which the Israelis will never accept. But what many don’t understand, or hear because the average Palestinian voice rarely reaches Western media, is that there will always be a significant portion of average Palestinians that won’t settle for anything less than their original homes. And so long as they are denied access to their homes, the fighting will continue.

Perhaps if the leading establishments in both Israel and Palestine invested their efforts in promoting harmony instead of hatred and fear to their peoples, they might actually get along.

All been done before, German goods were blackbanned in the early 1930’s, Jewish busineses threatened in Germany later on. How about getting along together for the rest of the world’s sake, we are getting a bit tired of this hate crap, boring boring!
All this nonsense originates from feelings of superiority founded in biblical mythology and Koranic nonsense. Grow up both of you, before you get a belt over the ear or are put in a corner with the other naughty children!

One respondent to a report in Haretz on the Acre incident arrogantly said to Israeli Arabs ” Baal Hameah, Baal Hadeah”.. “who has the money has the opinion”.
    A true domocrat.

When did it ever occur in human history that a nation who won its national independence would later volunteer to surrender that same national independence. Well Texas under Sam Houston did it. This same Texas later seceeded from the Union that Sam Houston agreed to join and fought in the bloodiest war in all of American history. If that’s the precident that Antoun, who lives in Lebanon, a society which has yet to recover from its horrible civil war, if that’s what Antoun suggest … thanks but no thanks.

    Frank,

    First, I live in Australia.

Second, Israel didn’t win its national independence, it stole it by committing systematic ethnic cleansing of the native population.

I think that’s where the problem lies, don’t you think? But if you’re not even going to acknowledge the human existence (let alone rights) of the Palestinian people, then there’s really no progress to be made.

Antoun Issa you live in Australia, and pretend you know the history of Israel better than native Israelis, I don’t believe you have the credentials to back your pseudo-authoritarian declarations.

But when you write: ” Second, Israel didn’t win its national independence, it stole it by committing systematic ethnic cleansing of the native population. ”

Now you have crossed the line. My Rav fought in the ‘48 Independence War. More Jews died in that war than all the other Arab/Israeli wars combined! 5% of the Israeli population died in that bloody war so please take your soap box and go straight to hell!
