The surge working, but for whom?

Yesterday’s carnage in Baghdad seems to have cut short the neocons fairytale about the surge working.

Karl Rove (aka Turd Blossom) is tired of the war and whishes it would just go away. Never to turn up an opportunity to pass the beck, he now blames (or credits) Bin Laden, for starting the war in Iraq. In a question-and-answer period after his speech, Rove was asked whose idea it was to start a pre-emptive war in Iraq.

“I think it was Osama bin Laden’s,” Rove replied.

Military experts are equally fed up with the war, and who could blame them seeing as the Iraq war breaking the US army.

John Murtha let’s fly at the ruling class who’s idea of fighting a war is sitting through a day in the House:

It is interesting to here the gentleman say ‘we,’ we fight, we aren’t going to give up,” he said. “Let me tell you something, we aren’t fighting this war. It’s the troops overseas, and when I talk to the families, when I go to the hospitals, I see the results of this war.

Joseph Galloway crashed Bush party by revealing that the pressures of the surge could lead to the draft being re-introduced. That should do wonders for Bush’s poll numbers.

Democratic Majority Leader, Harry Reid, states the obvious.

The war in Iraq “is lost” and a US troop surge is failing to bring peace to the country.
