Good news not welcome

It’s ironic that while the Bush administration is working overtime to hide negative reports about the progress in Iraq, they are just as anxious to hide the good news coming out of Tehran.

The IAEA keep insisting on producing a clean bill of health over those pesky Iranians’ nuclear programs, and just ruining the party.

The U.N. nuclear agency said Thursday that Iran was producing less nuclear fuel than expected and praised Tehran for “a significant step forward” in explaining past atomic actions that have raised suspicions.

What better way to treat a state that insists on behaving itself but to just ignore it?

The U.S. downplayed the importance of an International Atomic Energy Agency report Thursday that detailed significant progress from Iran with its nuclear probe.

That way, in the wake of the disastrous attack they plan to launch on Iran, George Bush and the neocons can tell the public that “everyone thought Iran had nukes”.
