Dangling the carrot

As the hawks continue the drumbeat for a confrontation with Iran, the dangers of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons remains the most controversial of justifications.

So why then did the CIA provide the Iranians with blueprints to build a nuclear bomb and why in 2002 (after the event that was supposed to have changed the world) did the British Department of Trade and Industry approve the sale of Beryllium (a necessary component in nuclear warheads) to Iran?
