Yes, there are circumstances in which it [terrorism] is justifiable, and yes, there are circumstances in which it is effective. The importance for me is that the Israel example proved something remarkable: the apartheid regime looked like a regime that would last for ever and it was blown down. It is hard to argue that, on its own, a political struggle would have delivered.
Actually, Miliband referred to apartheid South Africa but interesting that some kind of resistance and violence is acceptance to the British elite (especially when they’re fighting a futile war in Afghanistan largely against the Afghan population.)
