PRIA is the Public Relations Institute of Australia. For reasons I am not entirely sure, they have linked to an article of mine from December 2003 primarily featuring an interview I conducted with Sydney Morning Herald online commentator Margo Kingston on the dire state of modern journalism, how news is increasingly packaged with PR and the encroaching advertising dollar eating into column inches within newspapers.
And the PRIA wants to highlights these changes? Surely it means that they’re doing their job very effectively.
