Ehud Olmert in Australia and nobody says a word

Who else knew that a famous Israeli landed in Australia this week? Fairfax reports:

Adding to the madness, visiting former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert swept by suddenly, on his way to visit Australian MPs.

Olmert looked startled at the unexpected reception, as did his security detail.

  • Bring back Malcolm Fraser!

  • Huh?

Is this the only mention of his arrival?

I do know Silvan Shalom will be here next week for a special dinner that SFP will be protesting. Maybe Olmert would be at that too.

  • I look forward to the Australian Federal Police arresting him for war crimes and crimes against humanity. What do you mean that won’t happen?  Are suspected criminals free to travel the world with impunity? Would it help if we changed his name to Haneef?

    Olmert: Israeli war criminal…arrest him…

  • I just saw Olmert at Chadstone shopping centre in Melbourne. He was with security and John Gandel (the owner). I went up to him and spoke with him Hebrew. I asked him what is he doing in Australia to which he replied “having a look at my interests”
