Rime Allaf is a writer and commentator on the Middle East and is based in London.
As Israel prepares to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, Allaf writes:
“For many Palestinians, Yitzhak Rabin is not remembered as a man of peace, but as the breaker of children’s bones, amongst other equally correct terms.”
In light of Israel’s supposed overtures to peace, Haaretz discovers (with English translation):
“Fifteen of the 49 Palestinians killed by the IDF in the past three months have been unarmed civilians (a third of these have been youths.)”
