  • The #warondrugs is destroying #Honduras, leading to apocalyptic levels of violence.
I visit the country in my new @scribepub book, ‘Pills, Powder and Smoke: Inside the Bloody War on Drugs’, just released in the US.
Major outlet @foreignpolicymag has published an edited extract from the book with updates and new details.
Without my #Honduran friend and journalistic colleague @otowilches none of this dangerous reporting would have happened. Thank you.
Link to the story in bio.

  • Leading #Israeli human rights group @btselem just turned 30, an anniversary they acknowledge they wish didn’t have to be marked. It means that there are so many abuses happening under #Israeli occupation in #Palestine that it all needs to be documented.
This is their newly released report that explains the multiple aggressions over decades, how #Palestinian civilians are coping and the complete lack of #Israeli accountability.
I attended the launch of the report with @ali_m_martin at the #Bedouin village of Khan al Ahmar, slated for demolition by #Israel.

  • Young people are dying after taking toxic pills such as ecstasy and the #Murdoch media’s response in #Australia? Just say no, kids.
The dishonesty and absurdity of this, featured in a recent, popular newspaper I saw in #Melbourne, shows that the corporate media don’t give a damn about solving the problem and much prefer continuing the failed #warondrugs.

  • Recently met @tia_kass for the first time, a wonderful artist and illustrator in #Melbourne. We’re working on a unique collaboration in 2020, fingers crossed it’ll come to fruition, which combines our skills to tell an important story about a major global conflict and how it affects civilians in multiple countries. Stay tuned, and check out his work in the meantime.
