A clip from the 2005 Israeli documentary, Land of of the Settlers. Wikipedia describes this devastating documentary thus:
The Land of the Settlers is a five part documentary series created by Chaim Yavin, who was described by the Arab News as “the Israeli version of America’s Walter Cronkite“. With a handheld camera, Yavin traveled throughout his homeland of Israel and interviewed a range of Palestinians and Israelis in order to document the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Released in 2005, his series was too controversial to air on Israel’s public TV station, Channel 1, despite the fact that he had helped to create the station and served as its lead anchorman. It ran instead on Channel 2, creating a stir for its sympathy towards Palestinians:
This is what the Jewish state has become. An occupying pariah that seemingly enjoys humiliating another people. This is not a Judaism of which I can be proud.
I watched that and wanted to throw up – the settlers seemed so proud of their hate didn’t they?
I think we should ask SBS or ABC to show this film Ant.
And the horror of Akram Al Masri this week has certainly sent some shock waves around the place.
Marilyn she’s plying her flat back trade. “Come one come all get swewed for the best price in town”. War and conflict never makes for pretty pictures, but it does generate tons of worthless propaganda.
The opening sentence of this arabist trash propaganda piece, “territory captured from the Palestinians” this statement coupled with “Chaim Yavin, Israel’s most respected news anchor”.
Samaria was taken from the Jordanians. The Jordanians do not call themselves “Palestinians, nor a Palestinian Nation”. Who says Chaim Yavin is Israel’s most respected news anchor? What’s the criteria? Judging by this hit piece, its who puts an Arabist slant/lie upon the news with a straight face.
