Pithy comments by Omar Barghouti, a leader of the BDS campaign:
Forty two (yes 42!) Knesset members (a third of the total), from across the Zionist political spectrum (including Labor), are “recommending [to] the citizens of Israel to reconsider using the services of companies that operate in Great Britain …”
Perhaps it is time for a corresponding third of the British parliament, at the very least, to call for sanctions against Israel. For starters, a suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement is long overdue, particularly given Israel’s persistent violation of its human rights clauses, not to mention its commission of war crimes and crimes against humanity against the 1.5 million Palestinians trapped in the Gaza concentration camp.
