During my recent visit to the Jaipur Literature Festival in India, the biggest writer’s event in the world, one of my panels was inspired by the title of my latest book, The Palestine Laboratory.
There was a massive crowd and the audience was hugely engaged in the subject. I spoke about the Israeli onslaught in Gaza, ethno-nationalism in Israel and India, human rights abuses in Kashmir, Hindu fundamentalism and Jewish identity being hijacked by right-wing religious nationalism.
